We stayed in a cottage here at Sun RV San Diego for 1 month for the cost of around $8,000. During our stay, we eventually were able to arrange for housekeeping to clean our bathroom and provide clean linens each week at our request. Any other hotel or like-property would provide (at minimum) a weekly cleaning schedule. They had none. Yes, you read that correctly. The weekends here are absolute chaos with noise and people playing loud music and ignoring any rules posted. Kids and adults drove all around on scooters and other EV-type apparatus with no regard for pedestrians, pets, or the speed limit. The rules are randomly enforced, so why follow them? It was the wild west. This was our second year here because it is a nice place, but was the first time in a cottage. I do not recommend cottages for longer stays due to aforementioned lack of cleaning and linen service, but also there is no decent place to put your clothing and belongings...just a small hanging space and a bench. There is only a 2 burner cooktop and microwave so cooking is limited. The pool and restaurant are great. Most of the staff are nice. The rest is up to you to decide what your tolerance level is. They boast 14 miles of walking/biking trails but most are much, much shorter and all are disjointed. I'm not sure if that's due to construction nearby? We had high hopes for this place after our first stay but we were definitely a little disappointed this year.

This is a good RV park for exploring San Diego and is close to a great 25 mile long bike path as well as a 10 minute walk from the trolley line. Be prepared for a lot of unsupervised children zipping around on motorized scooters and mini motorized bicycles. During the week, the resort is relatively quiet but on weekends it tends toward scooters and motorbikes and loud partying unfortunately. Staff are very pleasant and the resort is kept very clean. Lovely sunset viewing from the North balcony.

5+ stars. Everything is absolutely perfect and well thought out. Sites are large, so many activities, heated pool, arcade, views of the bay. Some sites have an outdoor grill. Cannot recommend enough. Sun outdoors is our favorite place to come! Please open one in Arizona that isn’t 55+ :)

Just spent Thanksgiving here and it was absolutely the BEST time. This was our second time here. This place is literally like being at an all-inclusive resort. Heather, Frankie and the whole restaurant staff are the best and made sure we had a great time. Monday night Bingo with Heather is a MUST. Also, the bike parade and silent dance party was a hit with the kiddos. It doesn't get any better than this. Safe, clean and lots to do. We will be back again maybe a couple of more times next year.

Awesome resort! We stayed here 3/8/22-3/15/22. It’s very new and is laid out nicely. The sites are quite spacious, we fit our 40 foot class A with a 20 foot trailer easily into our back in site with room to park our full size SUV. The site also had a nice gas fireplace with seating for 4 people, that was such a nice touch! They have two off lead dog areas that are very well maintained and cleaned every day. The pool is huge and having two hot tubs was awesome and never felt crowded. They have a restaurant and cool bar area. When we checked in we were given two tokens for free mimosas! The park felt extremely secure. With coded entry gate and 24/7 security patrol around the park. One thing we loved was that it always seemed like a staff member was always near by if you needed anything but never felt overbearing. The customer service was really top notch. It is a more pricey spot to stay but you definitely get what you pay for. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the San Diego area.
