My wife and I were kicked out of this Starbucks location for not ordering anything after sitting down for less than 5 minutes to get out of the cold and map out our next destination. We were on vacation in Seattle for the weekend. My wife is black and I am Mexican/puerto rican. As we exited the store, a middle aged white woman asked the same employee if she had to leave as well since she didn’t order anything, and the employee told her she could stay “as long as she likes.” I also noticed several other white people sitting in the store just hanging out with no purchased items at their table. My wife and I both felt extremely embarrassed and discriminated against. Please don’t go to this location as the employees there have perpetrated racism against minorities.

Why are the latte's sem to have different strengths of espresso? Great customer service.

Super convenient for being open very early (4:30 am most days) if you’re staying in a nearby hotel. Clearly the go-to coffee joint for people who have been up all night. Clean, busy, good service.

This maybe the largest Starbucks I have been in. Tables everywhere both large and small. This would be a good place for large groups. Super friendly staff who are well trained.

Another Starbucks, another coffee... They're always going to be fine, not great but fine. They offer a consistent experience, world over. If I can find a great independent coffee shop, I'll always go there first but Starbucks fills the need the rest of the time. Now that so many folks have moved to Seattle and driven the price of everything up small shops won't be able to afford rent downtown and there will only be Starbucks and maybe some puppet shops they support. But they're fine. And they have a killer app!
