::Each of us must determine our own connection within our faith and find a faithful community in which we can be ourselves and embrace God. I feel lucky that I have always considered myself to be a spiritual person with a strong connection to my religion and faith. I am blessed to have found St. Stephen's after relocating to Houston as it is an inclusive and supportive community that supports me in my ongoing journey with God.

::I'm not religious but a friend invited me to go shortly after moving to Houston. I cannot describe how wonderful everyone makes you feel, regardless of your background or faith or lack thereof. I didn't feel like I was being judged but like they cared more about kindness and preaching their faith and leading by good example than scaring people with fire and brimstone. The preacher even reached out to me via email later inviting me to come back. I can't describe it any other way than warm and the congregation feels genuinely open to all people, regardless of race, sexual identity or spiritual leanings. Acceptance is the best way to get people to keep coming back and I feel this church nailed it.

::This is one of the warmest church experiences. They are immediately welcoming to guests, and gracious enough that you'll want to go back.
