Ghastly customer service, gratifying croissants. Quick advice? Rehire or hire a GM.

I gotta say, I love this place for the spices and herbs but something’s gotta give with their customer service. Not a smile from the staff who give the impression that you’re somehow inconveniencing them, no matter how kind you are. For example, I went in today to get a box of mixed spices in a box as a gift. In the past they’ve stuffed the box with some nice filler, stamped the top with their logo and finished it off with twine/ribbon. I spent almost $50 but this time no filler or stamp and when one of the other girls took out some twine/ribbon, the other shook her head “no” and put it away. I should’ve said something, honestly, but I was so put off by their attitude that I just wanted to get the heck out of there. I’m torn because their spices are so good and it’s so convenient to where I live. I’ve raved about this place in the past and recommended it to friends but I’m not so sure I will or anymore, or I will with the caveat that they shouldn’t be expected to be treated well. Also, when I asked for recommendations between two different salts (cherrywood and alderwood), the girl I was working with told me she hadn’t tried either but said “cherrywood sounds nice.” She didn’t even offer to let me sample either. So tack on not knowledgeable on top of unfriendly. 0 stars for customer service, 2 stars because the product is good.

A quaint coffee spot with a cozy atmosphere. Middle-eastern and modern flair. A small communal table inside, with the opposite wall lined with unique home-goods and spices to buy. We walked in and it smelled like rich-chocolate baked goods. Limited seating but good place to bring a friend for some coffee!
