  Check-in: At time of check-in, the associate was very un-welcoming. She did not say any greetings, just asked for last name, and handed over the keys. She did not provide directions to the room, it was very challenging to find the room. I kept looking for 15 minutes after getting on second floor at midnight. The signs on second floor are misleading (as in picture and video) they point the arrows to nowhere. Also the elevator has 2 and 2R, how am I supposed to know where to go? After that, the keys did not work at my room , so I went back to reception, she did not even say a word to apologize, rather she said there are two keys for your room left here at my table. I am wondering, how is that my problem and what do I have to do with it. Breakfast was very poor. No hot food option for vegeterians (can you not have anything with a hot potato?) Bread slices clearly did not seem fresh. Orange juice machine gave more water than juice. Cleanliness was good and as expected at Marriott. Rooms were kept well, with amenities and right sized rooms. Bathroom seem to be upgraded. Overall, this was as expected with Residence inn chain in their suburban locations, nothing special or note-worthy. Noise level was quite high. Could hear people running on the floor above my room continuously till 11 PM. I was on second floor. Insulation could have been better.

  I only visited some hotel guests at that location. I was impressed with the cleanliness and size of the hotel and the rooms. It was much larger and more modern than the location I stayed at years ago. Easy access to and from I55.

  The hotel offers nice spacious rooms with a decent sized kitchen area that is fully stocked with fridge, microwave, washing machine and hot plate. Plates, utensils and enough plates and bowls for ~4 people. The beds are comfy, but maybe a bit lumpy for my taste (I like a hard bed). The bathrooms are spacious (some rooms might have smaller one's then others) but my main complaint is the water pressure. I need that water to be blasting hot to wake up my brain in the morning. The free breakfast is ... free... it's what i call 'plastic' breakfast. It's not a highlight for sure. There's coffee...yup. TV in the rooms are large but the channels offered are Football, Football, news, and Football... mostly. Plenty of parking around the hotel. Remington can be very busy in the morning with a lot of traffic volume, which can be fun to deal with. Close to highway without the highway noises.

  Customer service at this hotel is extremely disappointing. They charge you a hefty no show fee when you "extend your stay" if you don't go down and check in.They don't provide proper invoices for the extra charges from this hotel. I had multiple charges from this hotel on my bank statement, and they said they "couldn't find the charges in their system" and wont refund me for it or provide any receipts for those charges. You email them and try to get a hold of the general manager with no response. They'll just ignore ya. Nice rooms but i'd avoid it due to this.

  This is a 5-star hotel with 4-star execution. The rooms are great. My son loved being able to lay out and align all his letters and numbers (he's on the spectrum) on the desk in the room. Shower had good pressure (doesn't sand blast your skin off) and the kitchen was well-equipped...even had an ice maker in the freezer. What drooped it down to a 4 stars were the fact that all week, my son was coming up from the bottom of the pool with random goodies (including but not limited to decorative press-on nail extensions and Bobby pins). Understandable on Monday more than Thursday (no vacuuming in between?). Also, we've adjusted to the fact that daily turndown service is a thing of the past (which we're all for...never liked the idea of our stuff being out in the open for staff to see and possibly rummage through). However, we did request one day that the trash cans be emptied in our room and a few towels be swapped out. The outcome: no trash emptied, now new towels. But, the bed was made (something we did not request). We would (and probably will) stay here again. One of my better vacation nights ever was spent on this trip. The family and I had the pool to ourselves into the wee hours of the night. Couldn't have asked for a more relaxing time.
