::Rainbow Nail Spa is conveniently located within walking distance of my house, which is awesome. Since almost every pay parking lot in this area has been turned into condos, I highly suggest taking MUNI Metro to Van Ness station, or ride the F Market if you're visiting from other neighborhoods. Now, this place has service prices that reflect a few different things - Location and quality of service. Location is super central. Their rent probably goes up by the day. If you're thrifty like me, you might say $28 + tip for a pedi is high. As a thrifty person, I'll tell you to shut up and pay the lady, and tip well. The shop is super clean, and the quality of service is fast. My polish lasts forever, which is important, as I rarely have time for beauty tratments. BONUS: They are open 7 days a week. 10am -7pm every day, I believe. So when you need your nails 'did on a Sunday, and every other spot is closed, now you know where to go! They also do facial waxing services if you're so inclined. My fiance gets his brows done here, and they always look good, but not overly done. I dont have enough eyebrows to justify waxing, so I can't comment on this service for the ladies.

::I really wanted to like this place since the esthetician who did my nails really recommended providing a review... First of all, I spent time letting the lady doing my nails know that I do not like my nails too short. I realize this is a tricky request for some people but I tip very good for the type of service I receive... I requested she only file my nails and she insisted on cutting them and of course, they were far too short.. i got over it quickly because they are nails and they grow back, but then she missed large sections at the top of my nail where polish should have been.. she seemed to be rushing. To top it off, my manicure lasted less than 24 hours before there were large chips in it. The top coat polish was obviously of low quality.. I would suggest upping your budget by $2-$3 and going somewhere slightly more high quality unless you intend to change your polish within 48 hours.

::This is the only place I'll go to get nail art -- Winnie is fantastic and so lovely to talk to. I'm always leaving happy. Protip: weekday afternoons are the best time to go!

::They have really good quality except for one of the nail techs. She's an older gal who is not as neat as the others. Even then it's a really good mani pedi. Love the complimentary mimosas.
