::Visited Corpus and stopped at the Railroad for a late night dinner after reading their reviews and it being recommended by a local friend. We started with Fried Calamari and the Oysters Rockefeller, their appetizer special of the night. We also had their fish (flounder) and shrimp plate, fried. The calamari was really delicious, probably the best I’ve had in a long time. The Oysters were disappointing. I was expecting to taste fresh oysters, garlic/shallots, butter and a bit of cheese. These however were smothered with too much cheese (I know, I know…there’s no such thing as too much cheese but in this case it was) and the other flavors were overshadowed. The fish and shrimp plate was also disappointing. The fish did not taste fresh. It tasted more like it was a frozen filet, the shrimp were large but somewhat dry. The Hobo Fries were delicious but they skimped on the sweet potato fries, the best part, and the stewed corn side dish was tasteless. Maybe it was too late when we visited so I’ll probably go back and try other dishes.

::Great atmosphere at this restaurant. It was so busy at lunch that we had to sit at the bar. The Salmon Salad that I got, was really sub par. Instead of using dark leaves, cheaper lettuce was used for the base. Taste was drowned by Sweet Chilly Sauce ( which I love). But it was just excessive. Service was great. Overall 2 Salmon salads and 2 Ice Teas for $68 lunch is way too much for what you get

::Our new favorite place to eat. Stopped by for lunch before heading to the aquarium which is really close by. This place must be popular with the working folks in the area because it was packed for a weekday lunch. Thankfully we didn’t have to wait long for a table. One downside was it was really loud but once folks started leaving it was much better. Fresh, delicious food with friendly, efficient service. The onion rings were to die for but way too much for 2. Both of us had shrimp & it was flavorful. We were hoping for home brewed root beer since they brew beer but no luck. We’re adding this to our Visit Again list when visiting the coast.

::The food was delicious! I got the mahimahi in a Cajun cream sauce. I also had a cup of gumbo and a rum bread pudding for dessert. Everything from start to finish was delicious. The waste staff was courteous and the food arrived at our table very quickly after ordering. I had a great experience here and will definitely be going back to try other menu items. If you like seafood I would highly recommend checking this place out.

::Not only was the food great but also the staff!!!. Our server was Brianna, And I hope I'm spelling it right. Great personality 🙃. My husband had two of their 🍻, he loved it. He ate the fried Flounder & homemade onion rings. Really good. I had the chicken fried steak. It was huge, be hungry it you order it. The stuffed mushrooms were great as well. I have always said a place is only as good as the manager. So they must have a great one. Great job guys & thanks for a wonderful experience 😀
