It was really good and a nice place to hangout and catch up with a friend. The staff was really nice and patient with us while we tried to figure out what we wanted

Nice neighborhood and a trendy looking coffee place. On a Saturday morning with the market crowd there was about a ten minute wait to get coffee. My wife had a black tea which was fine. I decided to go for their specialty pour over coffee which had a nice flavor but was only warm which kind or ruined everything

One of the best coffee shops in the area. I enjoy their hot Hugo teas (named after me)... :) I've gone on Sunday morning when they open. Usually have the place for myself. Nice place to chill.

Hands-down one of the best shops in Kansas City. It has an undeniably cool vibe, and the coffee and treats are always delicious. Grab a spot in the parking lot north of the shop, or make a quick drive around the block to grab one of the many street parking spots. A note: This place is almost always packed and it can get quite loud โ€” especially on the weekends. People love to camp out here for hours, which can make it frustrating if you want to pop in for a quick coffee with a seat. They've helped this situation by adding community tables at the back of the shop. They've also opened another location in the Nelson-Atkins Museum. They consistently have great baristas here, yet somehow they're always friendly and welcoming (not that arrogant barista problem some other shops have). It's one of the most popular shops in the area, but it maintains that cozy, neighborhood feeling. Overall, if you don't mind the busyness and you're willing to be a bit flexible, you can't miss out on Quay. P.S. It's pronounced "key." :)

This is easily my favorite coffee spot in the city. Ever since I was turned on to actual good coffee, this has been my spot. I recommend getting the cold brew coffee!! Itโ€™s super strong but doesnโ€™t taste bad. And if you are looking for a coffee experience where they donโ€™t just pour it from a huge vat of premise coffee, this is the place to go. And the atmosphere here is very lax and comfortable. Highly recommended
