  Visiting from out of town. Came here because it was recommended. Based on the menu, seems to be more of a bar first - food second kind of place. Our group tried 4 of around 8 entrees available on the menu, and I don’t think anyone was impressed by the food they received. Not terrible, but we definitely walked away disappointed. Some of our group had been here once before and had been happy with their experience that time, so we were surprised with our most recent visit. Seems to be a good place to grab a drink, but wouldn’t recommend the food.

  Killer cocktails. Went for some after dinner drinks Friday night and found some great concoctions in a chill setting. Did not try the food so I can’t comment on that part of the menu.

  Great cocktails. Nice, casual atmosphere. Definitely the place to go for drinks you won't find anywhere else. The bartenders will help you pick a cocktail that suits your palette. Hard to do on your own as you've likely never even heard of many of the ingredients.

  They have a great wine and mix drink selection. They have a good menu for both brunch and dinner. For dinner I'd recommend splitting a bunch of appetizers for a full meal. It's a good place for a single person to sit at the bar as well. They have some reasonably priced options like the burger. Downsides: it can get really noisy.

  Man-oh-man do the wife and I love this place! The Planter's House is the very best establishment for a cocktail in the city. Seriously. This isn't hyperbole. The folks mixing here aren't just sloping things together robotically like some simpleton at a hotel bar. Oh no, each libation is clearly crafted just for you and then delivered to your table to improve your life. The interior is charmingly historic and they have a wonderful outdoor space. And they've got food as well. The scallops are killer!
