::This is a great place and totally worth the monthly membership if you are in the area frequently. Menu changes every few weeks, great cocktails, but a more limited wine selection than I’d have expected (unless there is a list no one has shown me). But speaking of wine they do have regular tasting dinners and the food is excellent and inventive. One of the best chefs in the city.

::Very nice place. Came for Easter brunch and our server [she] was really nice and took really great care of us. First time here and I do hope to return for more delicious food.

::I’ve been a member for years and Blood & Sand has always provided delicious, inventive food and drinks. The new owner checks on everyone and genuinely wants to provide you with one of the best dining experiences in the city. The bartenders are out of this world (you know who you are). They can make anything you want and frequently things you’d never have thought of. All of the drinks are named after music tracks and both menus change seasonally. Occasionally they’ll bring in rare alcohol for a limited time (they had a Viking themed menu with Norwegian alcohol that was pretty cool). If the food isn’t delicious, something went wrong. Send it back and they’ll fix it. I’ve never had to do that, but that is the level of quality and service I’ve come to expect from my favorite place to eat and drink in St. Louis.

::5 stars for their cocktails. 4 stars for their lamb chops. 1 star for root vegetable "salad" which were literally 3 slivers of a root vegetable. It was quite embarrassing to bring friends here for a birthday celebration to order this. 2 stars for the pheasant. Incredibly salty even after blending the sides and sauce to it. Good portions though. Went back to our recommender to this spot and laughed to find we were only supposed to go here for drinks. Lesson learned. Oh, and the server didn't provide the itemized bill when returning my card. Only then did I realize why the bill was extraordinarily high - the total had a 40% tip on it. Cool guy throughout the evening; even after I asked for the itemized bill.

::Hey. The name threw me for a loop, but we stopped here on 12/23 expecting to get some pretty good grub. They closed early due to the holidays, but the bar was still open. The bartender was an excellent conversationalist and made a killer cocktail. He gave us a few personal food suggestions and kept us entertained until we were on our way. I'll be returning during my next St Louis visit.
