::STOP!!! Whatever "negative" review that has ever been posted for this fine man and his company...disregard it! My brother passed away late afternoon, Friday 8/18/17. His passing was sudden and not expected. Years ago our Aunt gave him a plot in Mt. Hebron cemetery (Queens). My brother had asked for the simplest of burials, with only a graveside service. I called Peter on Saturday, still in shock and knowing that he was our last hope as far as a low cost burial. The web can be a scary place and littered with scams. His price was almost too good to be true. Only 63 yrs old, my brother had no money put aside yet for his funeral. He lived alone and had no savings. The least expensive price for a graveside burial (not including the cost paid to the cemetery for opening up the grave) was 6-8 thousand dollars! And that was with a simple Star of David pine casket. Peter was very respectful. He explained how he had years of experience in the business and had worked for some of the well known funeral homes.I liked his straightforward demeanor. His fee was INCREDIBLY reasonable. I am not going to go into all the details. What I will say is that this fine man made an incredibly sad and stressful few days MUCH easier. We had agreed on burial Tuesday, but I called him back and asked for Monday, as it would be better for my family. He got it done. My brother was laid to rest in a beautiful S of D casket, wrapped in the finest of burial shrouds...made with Irish linen. He looked peaceful. We were done by 11am Monday. Incredible. He was very professional and a man of his word. I just received 5 certified copies of the death certificate as promised. At the cemetery, Peter gave me a sheet with a list on who to contact (IRS, credit cards, etc) along with a temporary death certificate. This was very helpful and not expected. He found, as promised, an amazing Rabbi he knew, who was so professional and youthful. Peter saved us THOUSANDS of dollars. There could not have been a more stress-free, professional experience found if I had a million dollars. Thank you Peter, Jack and Theresa.
