::Everyone is so helpful and friendly! Very knowledgeable staff that knew my dogs name after only a few visits to the grooming center!

::Took my 16 year old teacup poodle for grooming. We have been there many times and have had 3 different groomers. They informed me that my dog was too old and ornery to clean her face anymore and we would have to discuss alternatives. Why are they telling me what I should do with my own dog? My dog was very traumatized last night when we got her home. Her mouth was too tender to touch, and she stayed in my lap for hours. Not like her at all. I am so upset with Petco. We won’t be back. They should have spoken with me if there were problems before trying to finish her grooming. They also left tufts of long hair around her eyes and brow lines. I had to correct it today.

::My wife and I have multiple fish aquariums. Bruce used to help us in the metro location but we are very happy to see that he is now working up with the Happy Valley Petco branch. I will be honest...I’ve not had the best service at that location, but since Bruce came back, I will now visit that store again. His knowledge, attitude, and his willingness to help when you have a question is what makes him stand out amongst the other employees.

::I have no vendetta against the people working at petco but there is something I would like to bring to attention and have people be educated about. I have moderate experience with reptiles and their care owning multiple snakes, frogs, and lizards, for many years and I can tell you these animals are not properly cared for. Upon a glance I can see underweight snakes and improperly fed chameleons and such. To me this is a common pet store occurrence that is by no means right but not too severe. However the other day I purchased a ball python (housed with two others in the same tank) that upon taking it home was covered in mites. Never did I think I would happen upon parasites in a pet store especially parasites that are so obvious. I returned the animal with the intention of buying it back when the kites were treated only to have them call me THREE DAYS LATER claiming the animal was cured. I myself know mites can take up to a month to treat and hardly ever can be treated in such little time. So with no surprise upon inspection my snake was still covered in mites and going back to my previous statement she was house with three other snakes which I guarantee you have mites as well. As we speak there are animals with mites that will not be treated and sold to whom ever buys them. IF you are not experienced with reptiles you would never know there was anything wrong with your animal and in a few months you would have a dead snake. The purpose of this message is to educate everyone to be aware of what to buy do your research and know what you are purchasing. Those infested snakes are still on display. Who knows what the other animals could have not at all limited to the reptiles. Be aware
