::Mediocre food but it was decent. I had the Big Country Sunrise Skillet just needed to add the salt and pepper. Gravy was a bit bland. At least we received our food within 10 minutes and can’t go wrong with the French toast.

::It's hard to rate this Perkins. It's such a lovely, clean, friendly restaurant so it should be 5 star and if you stick to the breakfast menu (all day) and are patient, it is a 5 star. We had a busy day and are staying at a hotel nearby so just wanted a no fuss solid meal. Perkins is one of those restaurants you just know you can count on to be ok. Maybe not great but they're not going to let you down at least. They fit exactly what we needed. We were seated immediately and our server was very friendly. We had mozzarella sticks and fried pickles as appetizers while we decided on what we wanted to order. Those were delicious! I ended up ordering a ham and cheese omelette and my husband ordered a pork chop. My omelette was perfect. It was stuffed full of ham with a bit more sprinkled on top. Cheddar cheese was both insided and on top and wasn't overwhelming the ham. Very very good. The hash browns on the side were crisped well. My husband's pork chop on the other hand looked like a thin piece of white fat covered in orange seasoning. It smelled like something rotten. I actually gagged when he hesitantly took a bite. He spit the bite which I've never ever seen him do before. He moved it to the edge of the table but was too embarrassed to tell the waitress he didn't want it. I told her he didn't like it and that the omelet is delicious. She was very kind and took the pork chop off the bill. I think that Perkins is great at breakfast but hit or miss at non breakfast items. We both had pie for dessert. I had caramel apple pie slightly warmed with ice cream - wow! Please try it if you love apple crisp with ice cream (or if you just love apple desserts). This dessert was the best part of my day!! Trying to leave was a bit of a bummer. Our waitress told us she'd get us a box for my leftovers and our check. 15 minutes later, she came with the check- no box. 20 minutes later she got the card processed, no box. 10 minutes later we finally got a box and got to leave. So... Rating was hard. Like some 5 star stuff there, some 1 star stuff and some 3 star. All in all I think a 4 star is probably accurate.

::A local gem. The closest to a home cooked meal for miles. The pies are their specialty a must have after every meal. I went late night so their was no dine in due to staff shortage. Ordered the biscuits sausage with gravy on top, country fired potatoes and eggs. Then topped it off with a slice of banana cream pie.

::We had a very nice experience at this Perkins in Bloomington, MN. The hostess quoted the wait time perfectly and we were seated earlier than expected. The food arrived in good timing as well. Only thing I would comment on is that my omelette was a bit cold. The flavor was great. What truly made this visit excellent was our incredible server Angel. He was so professional, happy, kind and never missed a beat, all while being slammed with lots of customers on this busy Saturday. We highly recommend his service!! He stands out above and beyond any server we ever had there over the years! Great job Angel!!

::I love this particular Perkins restaurant. It's a landmark of France Ave and 494. This Perkins is a modern, well-run, well-managed restaurant. It's large, with multiple rooms and nicer decor than most of the other "dated" Perkins in the Twin Cities area. Staff is experienced and efficient. Very polite, and willing/able to make small changes to my order (for example, instead of 3 pancakes, I asked for 2 french toasts, which she provided to me!). Location is good, as it's on the frontage road to 494, and just off of France. Parking is sometimes nearly full when I arrive at peak times around lunch/dinner. I always find one spot, though. Food is standard Perkins fare, but it does arrive well-cooked and made to the order I ask ("over easy" eggs are just that, for example). Staff is attentive and helpful, as I say above. Cost is very reasonable, most meals being under $15. I appreciate the updated look and feel to this Perkins, the location, the cleanliness of the restaurant overall, and the value of the food served. All in all, this Perkins is well worth my 5-star rating!
