::The scenery here is so beautiful. I love New York. This is a great place to come to enjoy the nice weather and enjoy the changing colors of the trees. My son loved the waterfall. There is lots of room to enjoy yourself and get away. There is a park area for kids, areas to walk or bike, and plenty of room for parties too. Check this place out for sure.

::I love the Croton damn! I grew up coming here, picnics in the spring and summer, and sleigh riding in the winter. It's a magical place for me that reminds me of my family. My family lives a half mile or so from the damn. When I was younger I would walk the dogs there, or ride my bike. It's a great place to just walk around, or to bring a blanket and snooze in the sun. This trip to the damn was really intense. The area has had a great deal of rain and the damn was exploding water everywhere! I have never seen all the squares to the right of the damn open (you can see it on the first photo) that are used for when the water gets very high. The water is incredibly high right now and I suggest you get over there if you can to see the power that water has. I highly recommend coming here, bringing your family and having a picnic! It's so, so beautiful!

::Breathtaking views worth the hike to the top. Great place to hike or just hang out. It's quite a hike to the top so wear good shoes. I was there in the winter and I only saw a vending machine but I recommend bringing water for the hike up if it's sunny out. Parking was free was but again it was off season. Absolutely wonderful day wish I had more time to explore!
