  It's great to have a hardware store on Capitol Hill. All the people who work here can generally help advise those of us who are less mechanically inclined. Nice to be able to get general hardware without having to go down to Home Depot.

  I'm not much of a handyman, and it helps when I can pop in to this place and get whatever I need! The staff always have an answer to my questions and are a big help. And on Saturday morning, they have donuts!!!

  Many employees here, especially the head manager, are very patronizing and condescending. Every time we come, he finds ways to contradict everything my girlfriend says and act like she's clueless, and she knows what she's talking about. Recently I asked for the price of an item and he told me it didn't make sense for me to compare the price of that particular item at different stores, due to some marketing theory he went on to mansplain to me. He's also laughed at me with other male employees for not knowing how certain hardware worked. He's a very arrogant and sexist man. Sometimes it's a good experience if he's not in a mood to put little ladies in their place, unfortunately this is the last real hardware store on the hill.

  Very helpful employees, sign variety (no trespassing) is rather limited im assuming most people just order them online now.

  Very helpful & informative staff. Their selection is a bit limited, but they're willing to do special orders.
