I've been a member for a couple of months now, and the workouts are amazing. Truly the only thing that has helped me make any progress in my weight loss journey. My review is more critical of the business itself. The whole "take a free class" thing is a bit of a scam. It's only free if you end up signing up for a monthly plan. If you don't, they charge you around $12 bucks for the class for your first time. I actually think charging a flat fee is fair, and I would be fine with it if they were clear about it. I feel like it's bit shady for no reason, really. This is technically a gym, but you only work out during classes, so you can't just pop in for a workout and then leave. There are set class times that you have to sign up for individually through their app. They also don't tell you that most classes are fully booked at least a week in advance. If you're looking to workout in the morning, you better make sure you book at least two weeks ahead of time. If you need more flexibility in your schedule, this place probably isn't for you. If you cancel a class last minute, you still get charged for the class. Even if you have an unlimited plan. The other thing they don't tell you: A big part of the experience is wearing the heart rate monitor and seeing your name on the screen with how many calories you're burning. The problem is, you can only use their heart rate monitors which you have to purchase. They cost between $60-$100. Of course you can always take the class without the heart rate monitor, but it really does take away from the experience. Most of the monthly plans are between $99 and $200, so my advice is that if you're seriously looking to workout, this is the place for you. I do like that you can cancel your plan any time and other than the heart rate monitor, there are no initial fees. Last: This is just my personal frustration, but the level of entitlement here is astronomical. It's physically painful to have to lineup for class and have to overhear some of the conversations between the people that attend this gym. But I guess that's expected in this area. Still give this place 4 stars because if you're got the money and the patience, you really can lose the weight.

I am obsessed with OT!! Okay- first i need to let everyone know that I was the opposite of what you considered a "fit" person. I am currently down 41 pounds since December 4th 2017. I was a smoker for 15 years (Newport 100's no less) and never exercised... ever. I finally committed to quit smoking at the end of October. By December 4th I committed to no alcohol and no caffeine (crazy I know!). By January I was finally ready to try exercising. I joined planet fitness and while I went every day and I was shedding weight- it was kind of boring. One of my dearest friends told me about OT and we were going away on a business trip in Arizona. She told me to give it a try and when we went away I had an opportunity to try my very first class in Phoenix Arizona. Holy smokes!! I thought I was getting a work out at planet fitness-LOL. I was sore for over a week!! I could barely finish the class in Phoenix but some how/some way I made it through. I did the power walking because the thought of running terrified me (and my lungs!). My first class I earned 24 Splat Points!! I came home and immediately went into the Garwood location to sign up. I was addicted! Low and behold I walked in and bam! The trainer and I went to high school together. I thought- PHEW! At least I sort of know her and this way if I make an idiot out of myself - she's got my back (p.s. her name is Emelia so if you have a chance to take her class- Do it!! She's an amazing coach and will truly work with you on technique!). So at this point i was about 26 lbs (give or take) down at the beginning of February. After many classes later- I am down around 40 lbs (give or take a lb) and working hard to get to my goal of 60 lbs down. I could not have done it without the exceptional staff at OT Garwood. The owner (who is phenomenal!) treats her team like they are her best friends- you can see that their culture there is a collaborative one and that there is a lot of mutual respect and admiration for one another. The culture there spills over to their customers. Everyone who goes there is looking out for one another. I was a power walker initially and now I am comfortably a jogger. Yes- the 15 year smoker who now prefers to run and get splat points vs. lighting up a cigarette. I'd hate to be too gushy about it- but a big thank you to every staff member there- you know how to motivate and to make your customers feel welcome! I never thought I could (or would) enjoy exercising the way I do now. I know I have a long way to go, but I know the team at OT Garwood is in my corner :-). Sincerely- a very grateful customer

Coming from Miami , one of the fitness meccas of the country its unheard of to not offer first class free. I find it completely absurd that they don't offer 1st free class. I think its poor marketing strategy to have a potential customer pay $28 dollars for there first class. They should actually give a week free and really work hard to market the classes and give the best training to retain long term clients. I was willing to travel up to 20 min for the best training facility and classes. Very disappointing

I started OTF at the beginning of this year and I absolutely love it. This location has classes to fit my schedule everyday which is great. I love how the coaches constantly motivate you to keep going and keep pushing. Coach Melissa is absolutely awesome!

I love OTF. The workouts are always different and the coaches really push you to do your best. You can't get stuck in a rut ( which sometimes can be easy with going to the gym and doing the same routine). The coaches make it different and motivating each class.
