  Just experienced the best meal I have ever had dining at the Oak Room at the Intercontinental. The food was absolutely incredible. The service was impeccable with Adam C. He was there immediately when we needed anything at all, and yet was not intrusive. The panoramic view of the Plaza lights was breathtaking. The pub next door was warm and inviting. I would highly recommend this for your next dining experience.

  The food was beautifully presented and tasted wonderfully. What ever they did, getting a new chef, was the right thing to do. I do understand Chef Hall is still there and am wondering why? He has done nothing but bring down the Oak Room. Intercontinental you can do better than him! From what I have heard around the Plaza he treats his employees poorly and the reason the food has improved is he has stopped actually cooking it! Five stars is for your new chef, who obviously cares about the Oak Room!

  Come to the Oak Room for a drink and to listen to jazz. Call ahead to see who is playing and trust who it is will be enjoyable. Understand that you will need to endure some extremely poor service but if you're there to listen or chat it should be bearable. It didn't used to be this way but each change in management pushes it down further on the service scale.
