::One of my favorite coffee house / casual self service restaurants. The inside space offers enough space for about 50 or so people but packed at peak times and when the weather is foul. The outside doubles the space and on great days it’s hard to secure a spot. The tight seating shouldn’t deter you from visiting. Northside has outstanding coffee from Counter Culture with expert baristas. I have never had a mediocre shot of espresso. Their baked goods are great with seasonal offerings depending on ingredients. They have a full service area upstairs but the downstairs and outside is all self service. They have a good size breakfast & lunch / dinner menu. My favorite breakfast item is egg sandwich with sausage. Salads and sandwiches are very good. All ingredients are locally sourced from farms with long ties. They have a large beer selection and wine upstairs. We make a stop every single weekend. This place feels a bit like an extension of home in its casualness.

::One of my favorite coffee shops of all time. Their coffee is delicious, and their breakfast sandwiches are to die for! It does get super crowded, especially on weekends, so be careful when you go. I've never been there for the alcohol so I can't really comment on that, but if it's anywhere near their coffee quality you're in for a treat. Awesome place that I always try to visit when I'm in Nova.

::Lots of seats available if you come here on a weekday - but be warned, I believe any/all parking is paid parking. Makes sense, Arlington's a fairly packed place. The menu's great (I

::One of my favorite coffee shops on the planet. Espresso drinks, teas, baked goods, food, wine... It's all wonderful. I do miss the pear scone and wish they'd bring it back. Donuts on the weekend are always fun and feature new flavors all the time. As far as food I always recommends their chickpea rice bowl - delicious, healthy, and filling!

::This review is for the upstairs wine bar as well as the downstairs coffee shop and patio. I have spent many hours at Northside over the years studying, enjoying the patio with friends, people watching, and celebrating life's milestones upstairs in the wine bar with my nearest and dearest. Generally speaking the service is good and has improved drastically since my first visit in 2010. I think the best is yet to come for this place. Northside can get really packed with the headphone-wearing-staring-at-electronic-devices-until-your-eyes-fall-out crowd during peak times, especially the patio when it is nice outside. I am not sure why everyone prefers staring at electronics by themselves, instead of talking to other people, but anyway. Pack your patience if you are with a group trying to find a dedicated table during one of these times, unless you are there for a meal and get a reserved table (if one is open)...or, find a spot to share a picnic table and maybe get to know a fellow human. Put the phones away, people. Life is a heads-up display.
