There are few restaurants that get better and better each time you visit them but this is definitely one of them. I have yet to be dissatisfied with any of my experiences here, from Easter brunch to just a quick bite for Wednesday lunch. You’ll never be unhappy with your meal here.

The patio and atmosphere is PHENOMENAL. The food was very good -grits and veggies were delicious. The drinks were good and the selection solid. Prices were great. Service was lacking but friendly and everything else made up for it.

The food here is amazing! I had the shrimp and grits which has tons of southern flavor and the texture of the grits is similar to mashed potatoes. Yum! Husband ordered pork chop cooked to his liking-medium rare- and said it was the best chop he's ever had. We plan on visiting again on our next trip south from Chicago.

The service was great and would deserve a 5! However, I feel they are very overpriced on drinks, and appitizers. My salad was reasonably priced at 12 dollars and was huge. It was a crispy chicken salad. We got some calamari to share and it might have been a cup worth for 10 bucks. The atmosphere is cute. If you have the extra money to shell out, go head...the food is very tasty!

It's always good to eat at Nick Ryan's now and then to remind me why I don't come more often. The food is extremely mediocre. Very few veggie or vegetarian options. Salad is fresh out of the bag. Mostly fried, fatty, midwestern staples (fried chicken, hot brown, burgers). The fish I had was so salty it was almost inedible, and it was really overcooked. Probably frozen to fryer. Shame that it was so expensive for being so terrible. The service was fine, and they have some cheap house wines, which is good. Unless your thing is fatty, salty food, I think you'd be better off going to Stella's or driving down the street to County Club. Give this place a miss.
