::WARNING: they need to get rid of the terrible host! We went Saturday, had a reservation for 11:15AM He was rude, ignorant and disrespectful. As we arrived two min prior our reservation to a almost empty scene. He said he couldn’t seat but we could wait outside! Poor and sweet waiters and rest of staff was scared to death of the host too. It created such an unpleasant vibe at the restaurant. The food was good. Been visiting the place many times, sadly I will or never return if he is not replaced immediately!!!!

::The food was tasty and simple. The location was gorgeous - we went for mothers day and she really loved it. The photo is of my mom sitting right outside, the restaurant is right in the middle of the park and it looks like a mini castle that's an extension of the nearby cloisters. Parking is available in the back.

::Beautiful place to eat in the park. Food was pretty tasty - standard American food with nothing too over the top. My friend and I got there when it first opened and thought service could have been a bit quicker, but our waiter was very friendly and personable. Good experience overall.

::Well, the location is fantastic. In the middle of Ft. Tryon park, if you come with children, you can sit on the patio and let them run around in the park while you relax with your coffee or brunch. That being said, the host's attitude towards us left much to be desired. The host (the day we went we had a male host) did not communicate to us that there was a break in the kitchen between brunch and dinner. He tried to make us feel that he was doing us a favor by seating us instead of explaining that the kitchen was closing soon so we should get our orders in. He was very loud and was getting irritated when one of our party informed him that we can also leave. At that point, the host seated us and our waiter, Steven, came over to our table and made everything right. He was so attentive to us and so patient with our children that the whole preceding ordeal was (almost) forgotten. If you go, ask to be seated in Steven's section otherwise take a picnic to the park! The food itself was fine - the salads are delicious.

::Location is potentially wonderful if you are with children. The food is good, but specifically the salads are very over priced for what you get. The Maître D' is unfortunately quite rude and stuffy - otherwise I would have easily given 4+ stars. He made us (a party of 9 incl 4 children) feel that he was doing us a favour- rather than telling us that they would not be able to accommodate us. And this, in front of other patrons, in a loud voice. Steven, a wonderful person, served us, and made our meal memorable and very pleasant. I don't think I could subject myself, or my children to even the potential of the rudeness we faced. Therefore, I personally, will not be going again.
