::RIP OFF THIS PLACE IS SUCKS, THEY CHARGED ME FOR A BRAND NEW FRONT END ON MY 2012 ROGUE BUT I FOUND OUT THAT WAS NOT A BRAND NEW PART. THAT WAS ACTUALLY REBUILD PARTS. SHAME ON HABIB. I WENT THERE 5 MOUTHES AGO TO LOOK FOR HABIB AND HE IS NOT THERE ANYMORE, AND NEW GUY IS RUDE SO I DID NOT EVEN ASKED HIM. THEN I CALLED MIDAS CORPORATE OFFICE AND FILE A COMPLAINT AND ALMOST ONE MONTHE AND I AM STILL WAITING. LOOKS LIKE THEY EVEN DO NOT CARE. THATS WHY MIDAS IS CLOSING ALL LOCATIONS. SO EVERYONE PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY GIVES YOU A NEW PARTS NOT REBUILD.

::Overall a great place to come get your car fixed. I came in with many issues to my car and the employees were very accommodating. They had my car fixed up and ready to go in only a couple days. Highly reccommend.

::So after foolishly buying a car that I believed was in drive-able condition, the exhaust pipe in the middle dropped to the floor and was dragged probably 2 miles before I could get home. My morning was spent at one mechanic that told me he needed to replace the Catalytic Converter as well as the entire exhaust system. Upon making a few calls I was told I was only able to get a converter from a licensed dealership. And the part would cost $900. Then ordering the rest of the exhaust would run me another $900 or so. Decided to duct tape it and drive over to Midas. Upon arrival within 10-15 minutes I had a mechanic lift my car, take a look at the ruined exhaust pipe, and I told him what the other mechanic told me. Long story short, I gave him permission to cut away the ruined part, he took a look at the converter, and saw it could be salvaged. With that being said, since Midas can bend and make their own exhaust pipes, my $1,800 quote (Plus whatever labor would've been) was cut down to around $570 (That's including tax). I've got a check engine light on for a leak somewhere and once I have the money, I think I'm gonna head back here to do a smoke test instead of my usual mechanic. All in all, a great job. Pleased with my repairs. --- (Take my 4 stars with a grain of salt. I might've given them 5 but I'm jaded and pissed about the car and having to dump money into what I thought was a decent ride)

::The mechanic was very helpful. He took the time to really explain what was wrong with my transmission so I could make a comfortable decision on how I wanted to move forward. Trustworthy people are hard to come by these days, but I found some here. Give them a try, you won't be sorry.

::To make a long story short, I went to Midas because at home (Buffalo, NY) I always got great service so I assumed the Midas on Sunrise Highway, Bay Shore, NY would be the same. I stopped in at about 11am on a Monday morning because my Toyota Corolla was making a rattling noise that I thought was my exhaust so I needed it to be checked out. When I went in the office was hot, smelled like exhaust, dirty and there was only one woman in the waiting room at the time so I gave all my information including my cell phone number and asked how long it would take to be looked at. The Manager said it would be 30-45 minutes before they could get it up on a lift and take a look. I walked over to a nearby mall to wait instead of waiting in the waiting room because the smell of exhaust is a migraine trigger for me and I could not sit there to wait. Walking the mall, I expected a call from them in 30-45 minutes, but no one called. At the one hour mark, no call. An hour 15 min, no call. 1.5 ho urs, no call. An hour and 45 min. no call, 2 hours I called them only to find out that they did not even look at my car yet! I was really agitated because a call would have taken 1 minute just to let me know what was going on. I decided at that time to walk back and get my keys to take the car somewhere else. When I asked at the desk they had excuses to why they had not looked at it yet, but IT JUST SO HAPPENED A BAY OPENED UP "RIGHT NOW"! I was so upset at the lack of communication I wanted back my keys and was going to leave anyway because I didn't believe it. The man behind the counter said he is getting up on the lift RIGHT NOW AND could tell me in a couple minutes what was wrong. He called over a tech who pulled out a large piece of metal that got jammed underneath the car and was making the rattling noise. It took him LESS than 2 minutes to pull it out and get my car down. So, I waited 2.5 HOURS for a job that took 2.5 MINUTES. Seriously? I used to own an auto repair business myself, I know that communication is the key to customer service. If ANYONE could have called me after an hour to just let me know what was going on I would have NOT been so agitated by the entire experience. Next time, I will take it elsewhere.
