  Merchant and trade has the best view and all of Charlotte. It's sleek it's sexy it's stunning. This bar is perfect if you are trying to impress a guest or an anniversary date. The drinks are pricey and in my opinion can be of a little better quality. 1 or 2 of the bartenders a very entertaining so it makes up for it. Be sure to wear appropriate attire or you will not be admitted into his place.

  I was dressed in summer wear yesterday Banana linen shirt and and white shorts very nice looking and because I had on nice Banana Republic thing flip flops they would not let me in while the lady's in from of me look like they wear dresses in Walmart wear with flip flops got in. I just saying there is a dressy way of wearing the. And no so dressy way! Ladys in the first picture and me in the second picture!

  The View was amazing as expected. The staff was on point. Very friendly very attentive and very knowledgeable. The food however was okay.

  Why would anyone go here? When you arrive, you get treated like garbage by the door staff. They are a bunch of condescending thugs that make you feel like a criminal....for no reason. They use some ambiguous "no sporty shoe" policy to randomly select who actually gets the privilege to get inside. I see them turn away people with great non-sporty shoes and I've seen others in there with nikes. It makes no sense and makes me wonder if they are being bribed or discriminating. Anyway, waiting in this line is like playing roulette. If you are allowed to enter, the food is poor....just a greasy, salty overpriced mistake. We ordered a bunch of dishes and nothing was remotely good. The view was nice, but pretty much any rooftop bar has one. Drinks are fine, but who can't make a good cocktail in 2018?....and of course, they are overpriced. I say...respect yourself and save your money. Avoid this place like the plague.

  We went to Merchant & Trade to have a glass of wine and some apps. Our server, Morgan, was great; however, the food not so much. We ordered the wings which had no flavor at all, and they were like a drumstick/lollipop of some sort. The tater tots were sub par as well. I could tell they put a lot of effort into the food, but I think they should try a little harder to have better tasting food.
