::Lovely shaded memorial to Lyndon B. Johnson on a site along the river where he and his wife would visit during his time in the White House. Even with the parkway there, it is pleasant spot to sit. Four LBJ quotes surround the monument built with granite from his native state of Texas. Gorgeous view across the river to the Washington Monument.

::Pros- great views of DC, nice park with lots of events. Cons- directions might be tricky, next to the highway.

::This trail is where I run my physical fitness test, and the beautiful scenery keeps me from regretting my decision to join the Marines. In all seriousness though this is an excellent running/walking/biking trail. Highly recommended, especially after a long day of work.

::Beautiful park setting with views of Washington Monument. Downside-Not easily accessible to the disabled, with a walker, and toilet is on other side of parking lot.

::The spot was visited in the late night hours. We were driving back from a canna confrence and Franklin (life is your Right Pit pup) needed a break and walk. Quiet, fairly lit up , dog friendly, and on Dc Side not Virginia. It was 420 a.m and we felt comfy. Where if on other side anxiousness would be vibe. Area surrounded water and Marina is onsite. All in all Great quick rest stop and I'm sure during day the views and area are great.
