::Best yeast donuts Iโve ever had. Iโm not just talking in Indianapolis or Indiana. Iโm talking best in the country. Nowhere compares to Longโs. The only downside is you have to get there early and get in line because they sell out quick. I decided to go one time at 8am and there were no more yeast donuts. I was disappointed but went back the next day at 5:30 and the line was already formed outside in the rain.

::On our recent visit to Indianapolis we stopped by Long's Bakery specifically to try their cinnamon fries. I had checked Alton Brown's best donuts list and wow, he did not disappoint! We tried the regular and the apple fries, both were amazing! If you are in the area, I highly suggest stopping by!

::Wow! This place was amazing! At first it looks like there isn't a huge variety but every single thing my group got was delicious. We got a Mary Ann at the last minute to share amongst us and boy am I glad we did! It is like a high class ding dong and soooo yummy! There was a line of customers of all ages and races (who know a good thing when they taste it!) but it moved quickly. Staff was friendly and helpful. This is going to be a regular stop when I'm in Indy.

::Wonderful donuts they don't they still don't take credit or debit cards. It's cash only at this point and has always been. Lithe cash only doesn't seem to affect his business it's still crowded even though I have to schedule my visits to days I have cash on hand that SUCKS. If you ask me it's a way to get around the it's really know or being able to tell how much money a business actually makes. I know people say oh it costs per transactions but for the amount of transactions he has he would be able to negotiate a pretty low per transaction rate hmmmmmm

::I have stopped in here for donuts many different times over the past few years, and they always seem to have the freshest, softest donuts that taste like they just came out of the oven a few minutes prior to my arrival. The ingredients they use are some of the best tasting I have had anywhere. The prices are normal for donuts. There is usually a long line of people as this place stays very busy and is well known to the locals in the area. Even with the constant line of customers the staff seems to always be pleasant and helpful. If you have not tried their donuts I highly recommend that you do.
