  After opening two $100,000 CD's a few months ago, Live Oak is changing their online access system. I live in the rural Rocky Mountains and there is little to no cell service. I carry my cell phone only when travelling. Live Oak is telling me that without a cell number for them to text me an access code, I will no longer be able to access my accounts online 24/7. They DO NOT have 24/7 customer service so they cannot email me one when needed.. They DO NOT understand estate planning, as they will NOT do CD's in the name of a trust like Ally Bank and others do. Since they are cutting off my 24/7 access to my accounts, I asked them to close the CD's without penalty since they are changing my ability to access 24/7. They refused. DO NOT do business with this bank. They say their mission is to be America's small bank, but are cutting off 24/7 access to rural clients who do not have cell service available. I asked to speak with a Customer Service Manager. They told me none were available at the time, they would have one call me back. Obviously, no one has so far, and it's been hours. If this is their idea of "service", they need to re-evaluate their priorities and their mission. They blame it on their new system, which is the epitome of what a friend of mine once said: Nothing recedes like progress.
