::I want so badly for this place to be good, but they drop the ball in so many areas. As a vegan it makes me happy to see a place with vegan options. If you’re going to offer vegan options tho, your staff has to be informed on the ingredients, and the kitchen needs to know how to prepare the food. If you’re going to charge that much for avocado toast, it should be real avocado not a premade avocado spread. Avocado toast should be fresh, made with fresh avocados. Vegan chicken and vegan bacon are not meant to be prepared in a microwave, and if youre going to microwave customers food you should at least do it in the kitchen and not right behind the counter where they can watch you doing it. Tofu scramble should be a lot of tofu, and the tofu should be seasoned, not mostly kale and oil. You should also have vegan condiments like vegan mayo “veganaise” For things like vegan BLTs or poke bowls. If you guys tried even a couple of these suggestions the restaurant would do much better.

::Kitchen is the latest addition to the amazing dinner options in westwood. They make top quality hand made pasta that can easily compete with the best of the best. Do not miss this place!! Gnocchi to die for.

::I am typically pleased with food and service but I had never had the opportunity to enjoy either at this establishment. My daughter, a vegan, and I waited over 15 minutes to be served without an acknowledgement by or a hello from the staff although they were waiting on 2 other customers. Three other people came in way after us and when it came time for us to order, the people behind us went to order first. We, then advised that we were here before them and the staff person looked at us “confused” and said “are you sure”? The customer behind us confirmed this. I ordered a salad and my daughter ordered a VEGAN sandwhich and the staff person asked her what bread she wanted. My daughter asked what bread was vegan and the woman rudely responded that none of the breads are vegan. My daughter calmly questioned why there is no vegan bread when the restaurant is advertising a Vegan BLT and the woman just repeated that they have no vegan breads and stared at her. The wait I get (it’s slow food and that’s good), mistaking that we were next happens (maybe the staff has vision issues?) but the rudeness? Nope- no thank you. I love supporting local businesses but I no longer will be supporting this establishment nor will I be recommending this restaurant to others as I often do.
