  We had HSBC then 1st Niagara now Key Bank. Key bank by far has the worst customer service. It’s disgraceful when you are told no one will even call you back when you share with them real customer issues and concerns.

  I have had several accounts with Key bank in the past 20-25 years And i have had 2 accounts in the past 4 years never had one problem with any accounts i closed them because sometimes i move out of areas and wanted to have a branch local to me i am now in a area where key bank is again and i go to open an account i deposit my money and they close that account 1 week latter because they say i had a bad account int he negative iwth them from 2011 this is inacurate and falls and they refuse to let me speak directly to the fruad detection department agent who found this and i have to wait for them to do stuff but in the mean time this costs me time and money to deal with this F key bank i hope that everyone sees this and realizes its a bad company i am contact the BBB also

  I've banked with Key bank for over 25 years....so I WAS "bought in". In fact, for most of those 25 years, I was extremely happy with Key. The last year has been a different story, however; my card had been shut off THREE times while away on vacation (not due to "security/travel") -no fault of my own, I'll add. There have been a plethora of issues from worthless, helpless, unempowered customer service to terrible policy, to almost non-functioning internet/online banking performance. At this point, all I want is to remove myself from Key bank. I started THAT process Aug 4. It is now Aug 14 and I'm still tied to Key in a variety of ways that are totally unacceptable. Bottom line? The company sucks, the employees are totally unempowered....you won't get the help or performance from this bank that you deserve. Go elsewhere. EDIT: you'll notice that a Key bank rep pops up in the reviews w/a canned "I'm sorry you feel that way, please contact us so we can help!". Trust me; whoever you contact at Key regardless of avenue -phone, email, chat or branch....you aren't going to get any meaningful help. The Customer service (located in the Philippines) is worthless.

  I would give 0 stars if I could. My bank is refusing me access to my account. On march 31st I deposited an insurance settlement check through the mobile app. I called the branch manager Saturday and they released the funds when I sent them the insurance documents. On Monday the 3rd the main branch froze all my accounts denying me access to any of my funds because they wanted to wait for the check to clear. As of right now I am still waiting to hear back from the executive office but nope they didn't call me today like promised. I have no access to any of my 2 checking accounts or my savings account.

  If give them zero stars if I could. Trying to get a simple form filled out and faxed and they can't even do that.
