::Great new hotel, close to the downtown area with a lot in walking distance. Can be a bit sketchy at night because of large homeless population that is one block away at shelter. Great hotel and staff though

::Pet friendly hotel close to everything in Austin. The rooms were clean, the bed was huge, they have a nice rooftop patio with a bbq pit and pool. They also serve breakfast daily. The coffee maker in the room sucked, though, and there were no outlets in our bathroom. The dog loved it; the kept giving her treats.

::Two friends and I had an excellent 3 nights at this hotel. The upsides: +Room was pristine. +Room came stocked with cookware in case you need it, but... +...with so many food options nearby (including a great vegan food truck on the eastern side of the block) we never cooked. +The staff were all super nice and helpful. +Located very near the Capitol, and a short walk from sixth street (for food and bar crawls) and the bus routes. The negatives: -Apparently pretty close to some live music venues, so most nights the music is loud enough to disturb sleep. We fixed that with a free white noise app, though (lumosity comes recommended). -When trying to return to the hotel from the south one night, we walked through two full blocks of homeless people. I would say the hotel itself is in a safe area, but for any downtown location, you should be aware that walking around at night might be an issue. If you need to walk home after dark, I would recommend coming in from the north, around the Capitol, not the south! We personally had much better luck when we did that.

::Downtown hotel with a modern decor and functional room layout. Hotel parking is valet only, but it is available 24/7. Close to several excellent bars and restaurants. There is a seating area outside that includes a fire pit, BBQ grills, and a pool. There is a bar in the lobby and breakfast is served in the mornings. Good value and location. Lower floors can be a bit noisy.

::Very nice hotel in a crumby part of town. My wife and I visited this hotel during a business trip. I was very impressed. The rooms were very nice and was very large. The bed was firm but comfortable. There was a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, TV, blackout shades, etc. The room was very clean and even had a thermostat. The hotel’s common areas were very modern. Their gym has Life Fitness equipment and was one of the best hotel gyms I’ve used. The breakfast was great too. The food was hot and they would even make omelets for you. One ding against the place is that the pool was small and always in the shade. The bad part about the hotel is that it’s in a shady part of town. There are a ton of homeless people nearby that at times made me feel uncomfortable. All and all a pretty nice place to stay.
