::I am new to the area and was recommended to use Hudson View by someone I trust but who may not be a careful consumer. Another recommendation came from a customer with persistent repair problems on their Prius. He suspects nothing about a persistent repair on a notoriously reliable car. Neither would I, but...my experience has left me feeling "nicked". Very nice place and no complaints about the quality of parts. I bought a new battery and had routine maintenance on separate visits. Today I found that the tires were expensive. I paid $500 a few years ago and was satisfied. I requested another set and was informed that they were discontinued. Adam recommended a $600 set. I balked at the price increase and was reassured that the cost included everything associated with installation. When I picked up the car, my $600 set of tires cost $700 because of alignment. It is hard to imagine installation without alignment. I brought it up and was assured that alignment is essential, and did not argue. I did not bargain except to mention that last time, tires cost $500 and this time $600. Maybe a few years and possibly better tires, but the extra lift to $700 smarts a bit. It made me recall that we had my wife's oil change and got upgraded to more expensive synthetic oil. Much more expensive.
