Terrible customer service, many associates are all visible behind the glass but non able to help the two tellers out as the lines grow longer and longer. Everyone seems to be chatting with each other or doing paperwork. This place makes the whole banking process too hard and forces customers to seek assistance at other banking institutions

Yesterday, my elderly aunt and I visited the HSBC Ave D branch. I had a special request they don't usually do but this time Rosa (the branch manager?) accommodated my special request with a smile. This really helped us out. I've been to this branch several times before and I've also noticed they have tellers that speak other languages (Creole) to their customers. .

This branch is awful. My grandma wanted to simply close a checking account and, on several occasions, they refused to fulfill her request properly. They simply advised her to withdraw all funds out of it as a means of closing it. Ridiculous! Clearly they don't know how to do something simple things like closing an account. I severely doubt they can handle more challenging banking activities. Save yourself from headaches and do not conduct business at this branch.

I live 5 minutes by car from the HSBC on Ave D...I prefer to drive to the one in Georgetown because the entire staff at the bank make you feel very welcome and the tellers are extremely kind. I can't remember the last time I walked into the Branch on Ave D to resolve a situation...the staff all look as if they suck on lemon and lime every 2hrs. The staff is predominantly West Indian and each one have a serious attitude problem... they will continue their conversation talking about what they cooked the night before and if you happen to say excuse me I have a quick question (if looks could kill) Georgetown is they way to go...please note the man or lady at the desk in Georgetown actually greet you with a smile and eye contact!!!
