::We booked and paid for 2 nights in this hotel back in November for March arrival. After travelling 24 hours from London, we arrived at the hotel at 2am to be informed our room was not available and it was a first come first given rule the hotel had. Being extremely tired and having nowhere to go, the receptionist Janeisha was amazing. She rang around Memphis and finally found us a room at 3.30am. Huge thumbs up to her but a disgrace to the hotel. If something is paid for, it is honoured. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone if this is the way they treat their guests.

::Nicely decorated room. No refrigerator or microwave. Check-in process was wonderful. The staff are amazing. The valet guys are worthy of tips. You will not be disappointed staying here!

::Rooms are fine enough, but there's literally nothing special about them. Beds are not great though. The showers take several minutes to get warm and never seem to get hot. They're under construction so they may be the reason, but either way, it's a deal breaker for me. Location is fantastic if you want downtown Memphis. You can't beat it if that's your goal. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great price in this area that isn't too concerned with quality.

::The staff has been incredibly friendly. I thought it important to say something nice before speaking the more honest truth. This hotel stay has been terrible. First of all the hotel is under construction. I get it, but when I has a similar experience at a rival chain in Pittsburgh, we received notice before we arrived. At this hotel we were given ear plugs. The thing is they were needed, not for the construction noise, but for the street noise. Next, the phone in the room didn't work. A very friendly maintenance man came to the room looked at the phone and left. He never returned and the phone is still broken. Even telling the desk a second time has not led to a working phone. The hot water works, if you let it run for 15 minutes for it to start to warm up, 20 for hot water. Again the staff are do polite and friendly, they seem to want things to be okay. Sadly, this experience has been terrible.

::Convenient to downtown area. Close to workplace, restaurants etc. Friendly staff. Has parking ($24/night) seemed a bit high, but room was reasonably priced. Older hotel, but clean and updated. Was having problems with hot water while I was there but was upfront about issue at check in and offered no penalty cancellation or heavily discounted rate. I've stayed there a few times over the years and always been satisfied.
