  Hosted a birthday brunch here and it was everything I hoped for and more! Kati made planning super easy and basically hands free. They had a wristband system with large bottomless parties that was genius, I didn’t have to worry about collecting money at the end and could enjoy myself. The manager and bartender were helpful and the upstairs rooftop was beautiful and had great music. It was the perfect way to spend a warm Saturday!

  Hawthorne is an incredible place to eat, drink, and have a good time. I had my birthday brunch here and the accommodated an group of 40, rowdy people, all with smiles on their face. They are super easy to work with when it comes to planning events and making sure that all attendees have a great time. I will definitely be back!

  Hawthorne is amazing. I brought a group of 75-100 here on a Sunday and they accommodated us perfectly. Tim the bartender handled the crowd perfectly and professionally. I will absolutely host events here again. Regardless of how crowded it gets (a great indicator of quality) I will keep Hawthorne as a first choice setting for events. You literally cannot pick a better place to have a great time. Great deals, great staff, great location.

  I had a wonderful time at Hawthorne. I worked with their staff to plan a small gathering for my birthday. Their coordinator was very helpful and responsive and really went the extra mile in offering my group specials. I was very happy to see a birthday greeting to me when we first walked into the bar. I highly recommend Hawthorne to anyone who is considering planning a night out with friends on U street.

  We held an event at this bar and had a great experience. Prices are reasonable and the venue is gorgeous. Great service and quality overall. I personally had an issue come up and management took care of it easily. It's not common anymore to find responsible businesses that will do what's right. So if you are thinking of hosting an event or just wanting to go out with your friends, this is the place to go!
