I've never had even a mediocre dish at Duke's. Their sandwiches are easily the best in the city - huge and really unique combinations of flavors. The brunch waffle with duck confit is next level. Seriously, go here. Oh, and their happy hour starts at 12pm. Lit.

The proper burger lives up to the hype it's been getting. It's really good! A no-frills, tastes-like-home burger cooked right next to the bar. Good selection of bottled and canned beer from around the world.

Absolutely fantastic. This is my favorite place in DC where best burger in the world is served. Very simple and nice atmosphere. Excellent service. Great guys and girls. Very friendly and quick. Its perfect place to have lunch and to taste best burger (Classic American: angus beef + cheese + pickles + letuce + onions) in the world. Prices are also very nice. I would say cheap compared to the quality of the meal and service. And don't forget to ask about daily pie which varies from day to day.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday with a friend. Atmosphere is pretty cool and definitely different. Good music playing and incredibly friendly staff. Had the burger. Loved it! They cook it medium rare or well done because "the other choices are b*llsh¡t"! Hadn't thought of it before, but I guess that's about right! I highly recommend. My friend's salad looked pretty amazing, too, and I'm not that much of a "salad" person. Stop in and see for yourself! :)

Came in on a Sunday evening. It was not very busy given that we walked in on an otherwise wet/cloudy day. We ordered a few beers and started with the pickle pot and the corn skillet recommended by our server. It was a great suggestion! Since everything on the menu looked equally as good we decided to get two sandwiches and split them. Both the pastrami and brisket sandwiches were perfect. Large enough portions to have half of a sandwich and take home the other half. Overall very good atmosphere and food.
