::I'm usually a huge fan of Harris Teeter, but this has to be the worst HT I've shopped at, which sucks because for now...I live close by and it is convenient. Almost none of the cashiers seem to smile or display that they really want to be there. But not everyone is unfriendly, the people in the meat department and some of the stockers are very friendly. In terms of stock, if something is gone from the shelf, it does take them a bit of time to restock. And they don't seem to keep prepare for their ads well. I went on the first day of an ad cycle, and things were already out of stock. Overall, this store exists and probably does really well on its location....not because of its service.

::This place is ok if you just need a quick grab of something and you know what you want. But if you want major groceries this is not the place to go. The staff (managers) are rude and they never have enough registers working that take your credit cards and who carries cash anymore?? Produce sucks and it always smells horrible inside as soon as you walk in. Not sure if I would buy from the salad bar but that's just me. Management needs to take a lesson in customer service and put down the cell phones and do their jobs and maybe this place would be helpful to their customers but I doubt it. Over all it has the few things I need and I can walk to it when I need those things so that's why they get two stars.

::Great grocery store if your are very careful about what you buy. Their generic brand and sale items are great deals but everything else is outrageous.

::Understaffed, overpriced, and cramped. There's literally no reason to shop here unless you live at one of the apartments nearby. They're constantly running with a skeleton staff of 1-3 cashiers. I was just there at 4 pm on a Friday and there was a single cashier open. Another one showed up eventually, but that's 2 of 5 registers open at one of the busiest times of the day. The lines were 15 people deep and there's nowhere to queue so people end up way back in the aisles, so you have to fight through them to get to the exit. The lack of cashiers causes people with full carts to go to the other end of the store for the self checkout and clog it up buying 30 items at a time. With the 15 minutes I spent waiting in line I could've driven to a cheaper store like Giant or Shoppers. The aisles are narrow and the lighting is bad - so bad that even though it's open 24 hours, the first time I went at night I thought they were closed because it's so dim inside. The lights are noisy and the store is silent. It's a weird atmosphere. You're paying a 20% premium on everything for the convenience of a neighborhood grocery store, but if it takes so much longer to get through the store and check out, it's not convenient anymore so why are you paying the higher prices?
