  Perfect hometown gym. All the equipment you need for a diverse training regimen. The place is worn down BUT immaculate! The maintenance guys bust their butts to keep that place clean. You cannot find a friendlier staff. I joined L.A. Fitness when it opened. My stay there was short lived. L.A. Fitness - like it's namesake city - is dirty and unappealing. Smithtown Golds rocks!

  This gym is currently under the worst management i have ever seen over the course of my 5 year membership. Place struggled to fix a water fountain for almost three months causing loyal members whom have been there for 10+ years to leave due to lack of maintenance even though every member pays a $40 maintenance fee every year. There is no member loyalty. They , mainly management, do not care about the members as they are treating these last few months as their last few months of operation. Cutting back classes, reducing hours of operation, and increased membership fees are just a few of the issues that have appeared once the ownership changed to a distance man in NJ who seems to care less if the gym goes under or not. Sad to see this place crumble over the few months while steadily losing valuable members of not only the gym but of Smithtown as a whole.

  i've been a member at Golds for over 11 years. I used to work out on my own, but decided to check out the team training. It's perfect for me. The three different kinds of workouts give opportunity to build strength, balance, endurance and increase overall fitness. The trainers, Nick and Jess, are second to none. They motivate, coach, and lead in a way that makes me want to achieve more.

  Have been going to Golds Gym since two months after my lap band surgery. Love the trainers (Donna, Nick, Jessica, etc..) made many friend there, love the spin classes, do the group training and has help me get stronger, faster, and maintain my weight loss. What keeps me from giving it a 5 star rating is that the gym needs a face lift and upgrade; hopefully with the new management they can invest into this facility. Do not cancel the spin classes that started.. Give all classes time to build up especially with the winter coming.

  Came to Gold's Gym over 6 months ago after cancelling my membership at another gym. My experience with Gold's has been great. Trainers are second to none. They are knowledgeable, motivating and push you to achieve your goals. Team training and small group sessions with Jessica are the best workouts I've ever had!
