::Food is not good, they're using canned beans and regular supermarket pasta. And the artwork is offensive, a blackface figure and an old photo of a bunch of men catcalling a distressed looking woman in the 1950s... Seriously? The only thing i liked was the cute setting (recessed downstairs, and there's a small open air section) in an excellent location. Service was attentive.

::Couldnât honor reservation at 9pm on our anniversary :( I knew about the congestion and space limitations but really sad end to what shouldâve been a special night. Maybe I shouldâve taken the hint when the dude on the phone laughed when I called a few days before? Iâve had the food catered before so I know itâs divine. Just want to let the owners know like you are affecting peopleâs special occasions by not managing your tables.

::We love this place. We live in Philadelphia but make an effort to get lunch or dinner at Girasole whenever weâre in Pittsburgh. Itâs always great and it has this intangible cool vibe that adds to the experience and the excellent food. The owner is such a great hospitable guy who works hard to ensure that your dining experience is superb - which it always is.

::Very disappointed. Called ahead and made a âreservation.â We knew the time wasnât guaranteed and we arrived slightly early anyway. We waited for about 25 minutes (with nowhere comfortable to wait) while the 2 parties behind us were seated even though we had been waiting before they arrived. When I finally said letâs just go somewhere else, we were trying to leave but there was nowhere to move. My mom quietly, to our group only, said something like âwhat a nightmareâ because there was nowhere to move and clearly no organization. The owner overheard and proceeded to get into an argument with my mom, yelling at her in front of the entire restaurant as we tried to walk out the door. Our party of 4 was very excited to try this restaurant but disappointed on how we were ignored. It doesnât make sense that they take âreservationsâ but canât gaurantee. It would be much easier on everyone if they just said a flat yes or no to reservations.

::Good Italian food in a cool but very crowded atmosphere. Good wine from a somewhat limited selection. Saw some people bringing their own bottles but not sure what the corkage fee is. Good service and despite the crowd, we were seated quickly. Recommended.
