Dr. Gerges is as professional and kind as they come. His staff as well as himself, make you feel comfortable from the moment you step in the door. The greatest thing is thay he gets to know you as a perspn and not just ajothet patient coming through the door. I highly recommend Dr. Gerges!

Its horrible how some health care professionals are. I mean we only have one mouth, etc. You can't just replace body parts. They screw something and its permanent. My advice don't go there

This review is for his office in Newark This is by far the worst dentist I've ever been to! I called them because I needed a tooth extraction. So, I fill out the paperwork (in the very uncomfortable waiting room that was way too hot), and then they started doing x-rays. Their x-ray machine is extremely invasive, low tech, and painful. The reason it was so painful was because they kept making me bite down with the teeth that were hurting. After the 5th or 6th x-ray, I asked them why they needed pictures of all my teeth since I was only getting one extracted. They couldn't give me a straight answer (my guess is because they get more money for taking more x-rays, so they'll take them needlessly even if it means putting their patient in intense pain). So after all that, they informed me that they don't even do tooth extractions! Which is completely ridiculous because when I called to make the appointment I clearly stated that I was making said appointment specifically for a tooth extraction. I even told them when I got there when they asked me my reason for visiting. Clearly they only made the appointment to suck money out of my insurance by taking x-rays they knew they wouldn't need. So after all that, they sent me off with a referral, weak antibiotics, and over the counter painkillers. Once I got to my car and looked at the prescription I realized I was going to need better antibiotics and stronger pain killers, so I walked back to the office and the doors were locked even though it was only 3:30 and their office closes at 4. As I sat in my car practically in tears because of the pain in my tooth, I called the office and got their answering service. The lady on the phone seemed equally as confused as I was about the door being locked. After I hung up the phone I saw a nurse taking out the trash and I asked her, and she said the doctor had left for the day, even though it was only 3:30. So now I'm stuck in more pain than I was before, with over the counter painkillers. Hopefully the antibiotics they gave me will do something to sooth the massive amounts of pain I'm feeling. Oh, and in addition to all that the dentist had the worst bedside (or chairside?) manner I've ever seen. He did absolutely nothing to comfort my fears when I first got there. And at the end it felt like he was rushing me out of there (which he was, so he could leave early).
