  Hate paying 30$ for a used game they just gave someone 2$ for.

  To start off, I have not been in this GameStop location for a very long time; it has been more than two or three years. Over time, this made me not quite remember my experience here in Paramus. When I came in a few weeks ago, I did not expect much because it's a small store in a little corner of the mall. But boy did my expectations get blown away. Not long after I walked in, the man behind the counter asked if I needed anything, and offered to help find any games, items, etc. Usually, this is the norm in most retail stores. But, the manner this gentleman talked to me surprised me! He had energy, he had passion, and sounded like he actually wanted to be there. Little did I know, any game I asked about he knew every bit of it. Any detail I mentioned, it clicked between the both of us. Not long after, I had bought some games and upgraded my membership; something I thought I'd never do in my life!. Some more talk later, and I'm on my way. I was truly stunned by how great customer service can be, and how much someone can care about the place he works at. I came back two more times after this, and my visit was topped both times! I had found out he is the Assistant Store Manager, which I was not surprised about because of the professionalism. All in all, after my visits here in Paramus, I feel the want to buy more games and accessories at GameStop, but I also feel like I can just have a friendly conversation if I wanted to. Any time I think about getting a game, this is the place that comes up first. It was an experience I'm sure to remember for many years to come, and any time I come into this location I'm sure to ask if my man Rob is there.

  Worst GameStop to go to. The assistant manager here is awful when it comes to customer service. Being a manager in retail myself I don't understand how he is moving up the ladder to higher positions . I walked in with a simple trade in and wanted to renew my pro elite membership which I'm sure he makes money on and buy a new game with a warranty with it so he makes even more but he refused the trade saying he couldn't do it and gave complete attitude to me. I asked if the manager could take care of it and he then started to get all upset that I asked for a manager and not the managers assistant. I wasn't asking to complain I was asking to see if he could do it like I've done before the same way without issue. So I didn't complain I drove farther away to Bergen town center where the manager was awesome I was literally out in an actually 7 minutes of my time with no issue. I suggest you stay away from this location they don't care about customers . Little note when I called into the store to speak to the manager I was standing across the hall on a bench and the assistant manager straight up lied to me when I asked if the manager was in lol. I was looking at all of them talking right there.

  To be honest my experience with this gamestop has turned into a nightmare. I was in the area and thought I would purchase some used ps3 games. I purchased the last of us, God of way one, and the god of war collection which is God of war two and three. When I got home I tried to play the collection, turns out the employee Kenneth gave me the wrong game. When I called the story and asked for him, he told me I could swap the game at any gamestop. Turns out that was a gigantic lie. When I went to the gamestop by my house they looked at me like I was crazy. So I called the Paramus park mall store and spoke with the manager who was unwilling and to be honest extremely rude to myself and the store manager at the clifton store. Ultimately the clifton store was able to solve my problem. I called gamestop corporate and was told I would be speaking with the area manager about this situation. Guess what! he never called. I let time pass, I am an adult gamer so I finished the god of war games in about a month. I go to play the last of us, and of course the disc is scratched and won't play, I hadn't even opened the package yet. I am sick and tired of this gamestop and their lack of professionalism. This is a warning shop elsewhere.
