::I bought my little budgie there 6 years ago. The place has lots of supplies and LOTS of birds. Its a family run operation of people who clearly appreciate animals. I went in there to see if they had some advice or medicine for my bird who hasnt been himself lately. They were very helpful, very caring, and helped me out quite a bit. These reviewers saying that the owner is "mean" - c'mon grow up!.... if you can't handle someone being a little direct with you. This lady didn't need to do anything for me, but they went above and beyond. I found mom, dad, and daughter to all be kind, concerned, and above all knowledgeable. As for the couple of negative reviews on here. Trust me, take them with a grain of salt. I find it odd that a few people have suggested to go to RVC ... do yourself a favor, go look up the owner of that store on youtube. Check out his carelessness with animals on his tv show, or go read my review of the place that I made the mistake of going to and would never go back to. As for For Birds Only, I recommend it.

::Walked in there and walked right out. So shocked at the poor conditions I'm writing this from my car right outside the store. The place smells damp, the owner looked at me like I was trash when I walked in and I had to be the one to initiate conversation instead of him asking can I help you upon our making eye contact the second time. I've been raising birds since I was 12 and now at 32 I can confidently say that there is at least a good 40% chance your bird will get sick and/or die in the first few weeks to months of ownership. The water bowls are filthy, the cages are filthy. Some of the birds are feather plucking... which is not surprising since there are barely any toys in the cages. Heartbreakingly there was an African Grey showing signs of dehydration and on closer inspection there was no water bowl for him, only food. The birds are either in overcrowded tanks, enclosures or cages far too small for them...all filthy like they haven't been wiped down for years. This was so disgusting and heartbreaking because I love birds it was hard to see them in such poor conditions. Not to mention the non existent customer service. DON'T support these animal abusers. If you need a parrot, trust me, go to Rockville Center.

::This is the place to come for all your bird and pet needs. Specializing in birds, there is no one out there that can handle a bird like Ida. She'll clip wings, nails and beaks with no problem. Buy your birds from her and you and your pet will be happy for years to come. She will also board and take care of your bird if you go on vacation. Great Place!!!

::I buy all my parrot stuff from here. They have the best prices all around. Ida is also wonderful with my parrot. I take there to get her nails trimmed. Just a great place to visit if you love parrots and birds
