  The main saleswoman Denise at the Monroeville location is fake, pushy and talks behind customers’ backs. I bought two pairs of glasses and returned both of them because I was unhappy with them. Even after visiting both ShadySide locations I was still disappointed by the prices and selection. Now I’m stuck with about $300 of in store credit, which I don’t even want to use because all of the glasses are overpriced and ugly. And the store is claiming that my insurance provider won’t help cover a third purchase, so I’d be spending even MORE money out of pocket if I did choose to use my in-store credit to buy a new pair. Huge waste of money and time. EXTREMELY dissatisfied.

  The eye doctor that serviced me was really professional, and friendly. However, the male staff were inattentive and made me feel as though I was a bother to be serviced on numerous occasions; while trying to find a new set of glasses in the store as well as while sitting with someone to look through their online catalog options. One of the men designated to assist me was annoyed and complained about being "too cold" to be of proper service that day. I recommend going to the Squirrel Hill office instead. This is now my preferred choice, having experienced both multiple times.

  I see some of the reviews are negative but I haven’t experienced that at all. The staff have always been very friendly and attentive but not overbearing (I like to browse frames on my own). They are also really knowledgeable about their business. In my opinion, Eyetique stores have the trendiest and most fashionable frames available. That will generally come with a high price though. Price might be the only negative but I’m not downgrading their star rating for it because cool frames are just expensive. I don’t think I’ve seen the same doctor more than once, which some people may think is a negative. I’m neutral about it. All of my experience is based on the Shadyside and South Side Pittsburgh locations. I recommend them.

  I bought two sunglasses here last year. Today I went into get my prescription so I can buy another glasses online. They refuse to give it to me saying since I gave them the prescription, they cannot give it to me by law. Not sure if this is true or they are just saying that. In any case, they have caused me a huge inconvenience. They were fine giving it to me when I was getting my sunglasses.
