We were allowed early check on for a nominal fee. We had a corner room with a lot of space to live comfortably for a few days. The made to order breakfast is excellent and the nightly happy hour is fun. We had an incident where our tour guide for the day didn’t show up and John was so helpful with helping us get a rental car. John welcomed everyone each day and he really made our experience over the top.

I'm a Diamond member. I travel a lot. I have to stay at this hotel several times per year because the group I'm with pays for it. The lobby, bar, and meeting rooms are great! The breakfast is great. Beware though, the rooms are old and in pitiful condition. They stink, the furniture is worn out, there's no hot water most nights, sometimes the sinks don't drain, not to mention the occasional roach, and black mold from plumbing leaks from the floor above. In addition, the parking garage apparently isn't owned by the hotel and sometimes none of the three elevators work. So, try carrying luggage up and down 3-4 flights of stairs. And, if it's raining there's no covered route to the hotel. I refuse to stay here again even if I have to pay for a better place out of my own pocket. There are more comfortable options nearby. If you need this part of Austin, I recommend the Hyatt across the street. For the reports on Google how wonderful this hotel is, they must have been from 25 years ago...this place is in bad shape! Very hard to believe Hilton Hotels would allow something like this to happen so close to downtown Austin. It could be a gold mine if they'd just spend some money to remodel...

Had a wonderful stay there last winter — love the complimentary happy hour! Location is 10/10. In May 2021 Embassy Suites was the hotel for our wedding guests. The entire experience was really easy, and we were very happy with the prices compared with other hotel prices in the area. Now, this winter we had booked a night and I came down with covid. While the refund deadline had just passed, it was really easy to get a refund for our stay. Looking forward to re-booking with them.

Pros: Rooms were spacious. Made to order eggs were great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Managers reception was nice, albeit early for those there for business. Convenient location for downtown. Cons: The same protein options everyday, and was exclusively pork. Turkey sausage would have been a nice option. The parking garage was the worst. It was in near total disrepair. It felt unsafe at night. There was no rear entrance to the building, so you had to walk all the way around. Homeless camped in the lesser used stairwells. All of this would have been ok with me had parking been complimentary, but instead, they wanted $36 per night. For that price, I would have walked the several blocks to the nearby parking garage for $20 per night which was much nicer. To their credit, the staff was kind enough to waive my parking when I complained.

I first stayed here in 2019 and the rooms were beautiful! I think this place got hit a little harder over the pandemic. The room this time was a little run down. The wallpaper was peeling in places, the faucet for the water in the "kitchen" area was broken and loose to where whenever we would turn it of the entire faucet would fall over, although, it still was spitting out water, the thermostat was loose and hanging off the wall, the batteries in it died about halfway through our stay and we couldn't change the temperature the entirety of our stay and the the water pressure in the bathroom was very weak. The lobby area was beautiful and cleaned multiple times a day. They did lock the doors to come in earlier than what the signs said which said 11pm to 6am and they had them locked by 6pm which was a little annoying. The breakfast was great. The managers happy hour was great just make sure you get the tickets when you get your keys. The gym was very clean as well. I had tried to get into the pool area but the door seemed to be locked even though the light turned green to let me through. They have bathrooms on the first floor by the pool which were very clean as well! In the end i think this hotel needs to update the rooms but over all the stay is great!
