  The doctor wanted $100 consultation fee on top of already charging my insurance for x-rays and consultation fee even though it was previously agreed upon over the phone that there would be no in-person direct payment required and the insurance would be accepted. Only interested in a cash grab!

  I give this woman one star only because I have to in order to leave a comment! I have NEVER ever dealt with anyone so unprofessional and disrespectful in my life! I took two of my kids this morning for a root canal, one that is 12 and took a 5 mg Valium per Dr Chen He’s request, and my 13 yr old son who was there for phase 2 of his root canal. She informed him she’d be cutting his gums with a blade. (What child wouldn’t be anxious) & kept telling my daughter she’d just pull hers rather then waste her time due to her crying. After 2 hours in this office, 5 shots given to my son, she refused treatment to both after my son told her he was still in pain. She was very loud while broadcasting that my kids were disrespectful and a waste of time. She then proceeded to pull me aside and tell me how she took them on as a charity case ( mind you my kids have full dental insurance that she accepts and we only went to her because of her availability) and that she was the ONLY endodontist in the state of Florida that could perform this procedure... I left this office in tears, I was told I didn’t support my kids or her in her treatment for them because I couldn’t sit chairside with my younger son, yet the week prior I was there alone and she refused to allow me to sit chairside with my daughter resulting in her sending her home with a script for Valium against my better judgement. I STRONGLY suggest another route for treatment and avoid this Dr if you can help it! The receptionist even offered me a business card specifically with her name when I walked out, leaving me with the impression that I’m not the first to complain!

  I saw her in early July at Coast Dental Lutz. That appointment was good. Clean office, polite staff. Doctor did a root canal.
