  Our family eats at Dixie House for breakfast on Saturdays frequently. Huge cinnamon rolls the size of a plate. Great omelets. The Dixe House Scramble is a personal favorite. The manager and wait staff are very friendly and we are greeted each visit like family. Family friendly, country cooking, relaxed dining with a couple of rooms large enough for large parties.

  When I go to Dixie House Cafe I think of what I want for dessert first. The chicken fried steak is usually what I get, and any pie or cobbler or dessert is delicious. Very affordable and friendly servers. One of my favorite places for lunch or breakfast. The cinnamon rolls are huge, and the coffee is hot and wonderful.

  Good country cooking with great lunch specials. The chicken fried chicken has a little spice and great flavor to it ( pretty sure it's a jalapeno batter). The greens and veggies are always top notch and the service is quick. The waitresses all check and you and you tip a jar not a specific girl. I love the atmosphere, price and service. Check it out you won't regret it

  Had breakfast here with some old friends out of the blue. This was the first time visiting this Blue Mound location. I have been to the other one in fort worth and had no issues. This visit was the worst in service in my restaurant/dinning history ever. We arrived around 9:35am and were seated immediately which was nice. We ordered our drinks and did not get them for 15 minutes. We had another waiter try to take our order and we had told him that it was taken already. Our table we sat at was nasty. It was two tables pushed together and I can feel the film of gunk and stickiness on it, and also looking at the crevices where the two tables were pushed together was full of food that had been there for God knows how long. My coffee I received was cold and so watered down that I did not drink it. Our food on the other hand came out 1 hour later which was very long to wait for food. The best part of this experience is: we got a table fast and the checkout lady was amazing. Other than that I will not be coming back to this establishment. Which is sad because I live so close. They really need to pick up on the service for the customers.

  Best kept secret around. Country style restaurant. Great food and service. Mon and Wed are $4.99 Chicken Fried Steak!!! The only old school homemade pie bar still around!!! Packed during lunch. Worth the trip!!! Most restaurants could learn something in food quality and service from this restaurant!!
