::The tour was great! And the upstairs bar area had a good vibe and great music and appetizers. However, the dinner service on the other side of the restaurant was somewhat lacking. I can't recall ever having to pay for extra rolls/bread after the first basket. I found that slightly off-putting. That said, the entrees were good.

::Nice place. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and polite. Jeff, our tour guide, was pleasant and informative. I like the design of the space - it has a nice feel to it. The spirits ranged from interesting to good. I did not have food. It is a nice place to celebrate a special occasion. And if you are a whisky or gin lover and looking to excite your palate, it's worth checking out. IF you are not in a rush or with a large party. They did not plan well- with the front and back of house. If they can get a solid event manager and experienced food runner, this is a Serious problem that can be corrected. The head chef, Justin was extremely nice and after a tour of the prep kitchen downstairs, I think it safe to say that this restaurant is meeting health and food guidelines - which above customer service, is most important to me.

::District distilling is a good cocktail bar but overall I would say unremarkable. There are better cocktail bars (lost and found/Morris) that come in at the same price point. The fact that they make their own liquor is cool and I would definitely recommend buying a bottle. That’s the best way to experience their spirits.

::Cindy was our tour guide and was super great. Incredibly knowledgeable... made me want to start my own distillery! The C&O whiskey needs to be made into a perfume. Just for me. I could sniff that ALL DAY. Awesome tour & tasting! (and I've been to many😂😂😂)

::Great location for groups of all sizes! I've hosted two dinners here recently with friends - one with 7 and one with 19 people. From start to finish, the team at District Distilling has been top-notch. They are quick to respond to your inquiries about reservations, work with you to select the menu you'd like to offer, and deliver an outstanding experience. Service has been friends, attentive, knowledgeable and fast, and the food consistent and impressive. I highly recommend this place for a quiet dinner with friends or a special event such as a birthday!
