  Had dinner and wine (duh) at the bar. Great bartenders, the wine was excellent, and the three small plates were perfect both in taste and quantity. They were very gracious when we suddenly looked up and realized they were closing around us. Highly recommend as a spot for exactly this, or even a sit-down dinner, which others apparently we're enjoying very much.

  Extremely disappointed. Food did not come out as described. Lamb was requested at medium rare, was medium at best. Asparagus risotto didn't have asparagus at all. They gave me potatoes on the side as a replacement for asparagus, cause that's the same, and they were extremely burnt. The outside of the lamb was also burned and the fat not rendered correctly. Not to mention the waitress disappeared after we got our dishes, then was chatting it up with the bartender, before asking how our meal was once we finalized. I expressed my concerns with the dish. She was kind and apologized but they only gave me a free dessert, after I ordered it, which was only $10. The lamb was $36. What a rip-off. Will never go back. Make sure to ask if they actually have all the ingredients on the menu since they clearly won't communicate to you if the kitchen doesn't have all the ingredients. I wish she would have came back to the table after I ordered and let me know that they didn't have asparagus and only potatoes, etc. It would have given me the opportunity to chose another dish which I could have liked much more. Also, they were playing rasta music, at an Italian place. Very strange ambiance that didn't match the menu or venue.

  Cotto is a great little wine bar. The Italian menu has a lot of variety and it's hard to find a bad dish. Another great thing about Cotto is the variety of wine prices. You can find a good bottle under $40, which is getting rarer and rarer in Stamford. And you can find some amazing bottles for a lot more. The only downside is the place is small and during peak hours, you can feel like you're dining with strangers.

  I like this wine bar. There is a girl from Italy her name is Marina ( I am not sure if I spelled her name in a correct way) she has tender heart. As an volunteer art promoter,I have been traveling so many place . Seeing so many faces. I do keep gratitude heart ❤️ for those who offer us the space. Thank You manager. You have good working- staff
