::Horrible experience. Went there to open a business checking account. I stood at the customer counter for 5 minutes. There was no sign-in sheet on the clip board. There was no employee. The 5 employees were in their cubicles. 2 had customers. 3 didn't. Nobody came up. Nobody said "hello" or "we will be right with you." I finally left, and as I was leaving an employee tried to stop me. It was too late. My experience in that 5 minutes told me to stay away from Citibank. And to think I was opening a business checking account.

::I have banking with this Branch for over 20 years, I have noticed the service of this bank has been improving to extreme excellence, especially under the leadership of Miriely Rodriguez, and the customer service expertise of Natalia, and the business banker Maria, this is a great team of personal bankers that have made this Citibank the most enjoyable bank to bank with.

::They told me that they will open an account in one day. They asked me for my SSN and they could not deliver. Poor customer service.

::The Citibank branch at the corner of 96th Street and Broadway on Manhattan's upper West Side is a convenient place to use all the services of this major bank, including a separate area of a dozen ATM machines that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. I have used this branch for several decades and it is a large international bank. There is a customer service counter if you need special help with any banking matter. My only complaint is that when I had to call the customer service number I had great difficulty in understanding what a young woman in the Philippines was saying, so I had to tell her that I simply could not understand what she was speaking and to please speak very clearly and slowly. It seems to me that Citibank could do what other large companies are doing and actually hire legal citizens of the United States of America to do this work. Is Citibank so desperate for cheaper labor that they are sacrificing quality and patriotism? Unfortunately, I think this is the case, and I would respect the bank much more if they hired Americans to do this call center/customer service work, so at least I and many others, I'm sure, would be able to easily understand their speech.

::It's a bank, they do a decent job in taking your money and keeping it safe. They also find ways to charge you fees, but most banks do this. Overall it's a good big bank, could be worse. EDIT: Dropped a few stars, went on a day off, and tried to add my wife to the account. Thought it was done, but two weeks late and it is not yet linked. No follow up. Just been hung up on 4 times, customer service is a joke. :(
