::Citi customer service is trash. Don't even bother trying to do anything in person at the bank, they just tell you to call their phone trees, which will endlessly loop messages about "go online to do [things you don't want to do]" while you hold for half an hour. Then when you finally connect to one useless agent, 50-50 you'll be disconnected again while waiting on hold for them to send you to someone else.

::Frankly, the slowest account opening I could possibly imagine. Took them 2.5h to get me an account. Would not recommend to any international students. Wells Fargo and Chase did the same thing in less than 30 minutes. ALso the employee had virutally no information on the products. If I hadn't asked for every single detail, I would have not even been sold anything. I wasn't shown options for accounts, I had to explain (unprompted) that there are other products which I am eligible for (and that are better suited to my need) than what the employee tried to sell me. If I hadn't looked at the website before, I would have probably just left without anything. It was like I was trying to sell myself on a Citi product. Might as well have opened the account online...

::We opened an account hoping that having a global bank would make our international banking easier. It didnt. Everything went wrong from the start from setting us up with the wrong type of accounts that charged us fees like I've never seen before. Inability to access our cash because the cards were sent to the wrong address for the first month and we couldnt set up our online access without them, multiple attempts to correct both errors, and six months later I am ready to close the account. Only now do I realize how awesome wells fargo has been all these years!

::This is one of the most incompetent Citibank locations I have ever dealt with in all my years of banking. Be warned, tellers will close accounts when they want and management team lead by Dean (branch manager), will try to play Jr. detective. Dean will be rude, condescending and will make you accept her way or close your account. If this has happened to you, reach out to corporate and file a complaint. This must be stopped.
