::Hadn't been in awhile so I came by recently. I used to stop by to get Japanese potatoes or Scotch Bonnets. This time it reeked of cigarettes. Like teens were hiding in the back and chain smoked hours ago but the smell lingered hours later. I wasn't impressed with the produce. I like the option to buy goods that other stores confine to one single aisle, but that doesn't mean the store has to raggedy. I've purchased some of these products at groceries stores in their country of origin and they weren't this roguish with it. At this point in my life I just want more so I will go elsewhere.

::Bestworld reminds you that mount pleasant wasn’t always a yuppie enclave full of million dollar homes. It’s a bodega on steroids, with shelves stacked to the ceiling. It’s owned by Koreans and caters to Salvadorians, so Asian and Latin specialty items abound. Yeah, a lot of the produce is rotten and often the meat counter gives off a smell. Pick your way around and there are treasures to uncover.

::I would have given them 2 stars but the cashiers and other staff are very nice and helpful. They have a variety of food options from different places around the world. Recently went and their rice and pancake bags had a whole lot of bugs in them. A friend of mine accidentally bought a rotten chicken leg. I would go just check the items very carefully.

::Great smaller ethnic supermarket in the middle of DC. There are certain that I have to go here to get. The only downside is that some of the produce isn't the freshest. Just make sure you pick it your produce well
