::Decent selection but a bit overpriced compared to other local supermarkets.
Dennis Gardner
::A pretty large selection of groceries including some fresh fruits and veggies!

::Ever since they renovated a few years back, prices went up substantially, grocery store selection was reduced, but beer and wine shelf space quadrupled. It is clear they no longer want to be a neighborhood grocery that is a reasonably priced stand-in for a trip down to Trader Joe's or over to Safeway. They want to compete with the 3 other beer & wine retailers within a block. Unless you are absolutely desperate for a last-minute ingredient, or are under the weather and just can't make it anywhere else, walk or bike and save some money.

::Kind people, decent prices (good for fruit and veggies), and help support local businesses.

::A great place for staples and wine. Larger than a convenience store but smaller than a typical big-chain grocery store. Quick service. Definitely the most expensive I've found in DC for many items. Produce and meat quality varies. Given the neighborhood demographics and the fact several hotels are nearby, the store needs more pre-prepared, fresh food...especially fruits and vegetables. Even bagged lettuce and cut fruit would be a huge improvement.
