  I came to this provider for regular cleaning and examination. Prior to my visit I called to ask if they accept my insurance, and the answer was yes, they participate in this insurance. The hygienist and the doctor are Ok, but the furniture and the equipment look old and threadbare. Previously I went to another doctor (before he moved to another place), and I was never charged for cleaning and exam (covered by insurance plan). In this case, I received the bill with difference between the allowance paid by insurance and the provider's charge (more than $100)! I thought it's some mistake, because they told me they accept my insurance and insurance already paid them. They answer was they only "participate" and they don't "accept" any insurance, because their charge much higher than insurance allowance. The patient must pay the difference. They never told me this before, they never mentioned their rates and there is no sign or note in the office either. How could I know that "participation" means? I asked why they didn't explain me all this before, and the girl just hanged up the phone! I feel that I was deceived. They lied and didn't provide me with important information before service. If I knew it before I would never come to this office. The provider driven only by profit and this behavior is unprofessional.
